The Netgear C6230 is a DOCSIS 3.0 device. After the cable modem is successfully registered on the network, the Power, Downstream, Upstream, and Online indicators illuminate continuously to indicate that the cable modem is online and fully operational.
The following buttons are available on the front of the modem.
- WPS - Press this button when you want to use WPS to join the WiFi network without entering the WiFi password. The WPS LED blinks while connecting to a device and then lights solid.
- WiFi On/Off - Press this button for two seconds to turn the WiFi radios on or off. The WiFi On/Off is lit when the WiFi radios are on.
The Netgear C6230 has the following ports available on the back of the modem.
- RESET - Use this button to restore the default factory settings by pressing and holding it for seven or more seconds until the Power LED blinks green.
- USB - Connects to a USB storage device.
- Ethernet ports 1 and 2 - Two RJ-45 LAN ports to connect to LAN devices. Only one port is active at a time.
- Coax - Connect your coaxial cable line to this port.
- DC Power Connector - Connect the supplied power adapter to this port.
